We are complex creatures and what you see on the surface may not reflect our true inner self.
We all have many layers built up over the years from our life experiences. In order to know and understand someone, to get to the real person, you need to spend time with someone in order to see past the outer layers to see the inner true self.
Layers
Each of my paintings start with the initial core layer of high-quality acrylic paint.
Over the course of days and sometimes weeks, additional layers are added - Sometimes 14 or more layers exist for each piece. Often, fragments of the inner most layers are exposed in the final piece, but likely several are completely hidden from view. But the final piece would not be the same without the interaction and blending of all the layers.
